Blog Scour: Still In Debt
Sunday, January 27th, 2008I just don’t get it. People take advice from people who are in debt? That’s like following Fat Albert’s diet plan or believing politicians’ calls for truth and transparency. Sure, it’s great you’re trying something. I guess it is slightly better than following Paris Hilton as a financial example.
The question I have is when a person is blogging about solving their debt, what happens when they actually knock it down? Do they then go out and buy a boat just so they can bitch and moan about their new debt? Perhaps they get their readers to do all the work and send in their own stories about their fiscal failure. Or perhaps they just die on the vine.
It reminds me of the cure for super disease X organizations and pharmaceutical companies. If they were actually ever truly successful, they would end up killing themselves by eliminating the need for their existence.
But that implies that such things can actually be solved. And we all know you can’t cure the world of stupidity.
